FRP PULTRUDED GRATING

GridEX® STRUCTURAL PULTRUDED FRP GRATING

GridEX® pultruded FRP grating has been engineered to meet the demanding requirements of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects across the Middle East. It is an ideal solution for applications where traditional fibreglass grating systems may not deliver the required structural performance or design flexibility. The GridEX® range offers multiple configuration options, including various open area ratios, cross-rod positioning, load bar profiles, customised fabrication, colour selections, and resin systems to suit specific project needs. The “I” bar profile provides excellent versatility for a wide range of structural applications, while the “T” bar profile delivers a stronger, more rigid walking surface that helps minimise objects becoming lodged between load bars. Designed for demanding environments, the pultruded FRP bar profile is capable of supporting heavy rolling loads from forklifts, pallet trucks, maintenance vehicles, and industrial equipment.

Anti-Slip Surface Designed for demanding industrial environments, the anti-slip surface delivers outstanding wear resistance while providing excellent slip resistance under both dry and wet conditions. Independent laboratory testing confirms its high coefficient of friction, making it suitable for facilities where workplace safety is a priority. Unlike traditional serrated steel grating, this surface maintains its structural load capacity without compromising performance.

Ribbed Surface The ribbed surface option is ideal for projects requiring enhanced structural strength combined with a durable covered flooring system. Available as a customised solution, it incorporates a bonded Checker Plate or Anti-Slip finish across each load bar to provide additional rigidity and reliable performance in challenging operating environments, including heavy-duty industrial facilities throughout the Gulf region.

Covered Surface The covered surface is well suited for facilities where loose materials, debris, or production by-products can become trapped within conventional grating. This makes it an excellent choice for food processing plants, manufacturing facilities, utility areas, and hygiene-sensitive environments. It also performs exceptionally well in wet zones, washdown areas, and locations requiring frequent cleaning.

Manufactured using advanced pultruded FRP composites, GridEX® grating is approximately 35% lighter than aluminium and up to 75% lighter than steel, making transportation, handling, and installation faster and more efficient. Its lightweight construction helps reduce installation time while lowering labour requirements on site. GridEX® pultruded grating can be easily cut and modified using standard hand tools, eliminating the need for hot-work equipment such as grinders, welding, or cutting torches. This provides a safer, faster, and more practical installation solution for industrial and infrastructure projects across the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and the wider Middle East.

GridEX® grating systems are commonly available in 25 mm, 38 mm, and 50 mm depth profiles.
